We're a multi-award-winning digital payments platform within the automotive industry. We work with over 4,000 automotive retailers throughout Europe, helping drivers to pay for motoring costs, accessories and other services through a variety of different payment options.
Bumper is a fast-growing payments scale-up and we’re excited to continue developing the growth we’ve started to see in Germany, having recently completed a successful Series A funding round. We’re looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, and visionary Business Development Consultant to continue to grow Bumper's client base in Germany. Our mission is to scale Bumper into a global brand!
Our new Head Office is in Sheffield City Centre, with offices also based in London and Turkey. We've recently brought retailers in Germany, Spain, Ireland and the Netherlands on board, with more on the horizon - world domination here we come!
A bit about the role...
You will have two core responsibilities: customer acquisition and new loan origination. The Business Development Consultant will be expected to enhance the portfolio of dealers within Germany, while simultaneously driving high volumes of payments. You will develop close relationships with OEM’s, retail groups and established third party automotive systems.
You will provide a pivotal role in the growth of Bumper's clients and partnerships in the German automotive market, giving you the chance to play a central part in a rapidly growing sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Build an extensive customer base and increase retailer sales
- Conduct account reviews to analyse and boost the customer’s interaction with Bumper
- Develop strong and lasting relationships at both manufacturer and retailer level
Location:
We are looking for Business Development Consultants to be based in the areas around Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, or Hamburg, with travel required

What we are looking for in you...
- You will have a proven track record as a Business Development Consultant/Manager, Regional Sales Manager, District Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager or Territory Manager, and you will be able to evidence your ability and previous achievements in growing a portfolio of clients
- You will have extensive motor trade experience combined with a strong network of dealership relationships and contacts
- You’ll have experience of introducing new products to market and challenging established thinking regarding new product adoption and car financing
- Fluent in German and proficient in English
- Highly self-motivated and target driven
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Full and clean German Driving License
Benefits
- Basic salary of €50,000 - €60,000
- Commission scheme, with a realistic OTE of up to €70,000
- A car allowance for getting from A to B of €700 per month
